i was approached by the founder of pennybakedthat, an independent baker based in portsmouth, to photograph their brownies as marketing material for social media. i used a nikon d3300 dslr—with lenses ranging from 18mm to 200mm—and adobe lightroom classic to edit. using warm toned lighting and close-up shots to emphasise the depth and detail of the brownies, i aimed to create a positive, summery ambient in order to make the food look enticing.
